Amandugba traces its origin to Ndugba, the son of Mbama Onyeukwu, a courageous farmer and warrior who founded the settlement after discovering fertile lands beyond the Okatankwu stream. His descendants went on to establish today’s villages of Ulo-ano Ndugba, Umundugba, and Ezisu Ndugba.

Historically, Amandugba and Umundugba formed one community before administrative divisions separated them. The town played a vital role in trade, governance, and cultural evolution especially during the colonial era under British-appointed warrant chiefs.

Today, the Amandugba Federal Union stands as a proud bridge between our ancestral homeland and our diaspora family, committed to carrying forward the values of unity, resilience, and mutual support that define our people.
